Company, founded in 1986, is a subsidiary of
Vietnam National Tobacco
Corporation.
Since
its founding,
Vietnam Tobacco Import Export
Company has always been the leading
importer/exporter for Vietnam tobacco industry. Apart from meeting all
import requirements for Vietnam National Tobacco Corporation, we have
established business relationships with other tobacco manufacturers in
Vietnam. We have so far supplied over 60% of imports of machinery,
tobacco and materials for the Vietnam tobacco industry.
Vinataba IMEX is also a pioneer in making introductions of
Vietnam tobacco products to world markets. Over the years, we have
exported various products such as tobacco leaf, cut rag tobacco,
cigarettes to many regions of the world.

is now playing a leading role in Vietnam
tobacco industry. We will in the future focus all our efforts in
developing further co-operative relationships in the region and around
the world. We always welcome new partners in order to further explore
export potential for Vietnam tobacco industry.
IMPORTS OF MACHINERY &
EQUIPMENT
AND TOBACCO MATERIALS
 Vietnam tobacco industry has over the years made intensive investments
in modernizing technology and enhancing our capacities in all fields
of production with a view to improving product quality. Scores of new
machinery and equipment have been imported and put to use in many
factories. Almost 60% of these machineries were imported by
Vinataba IMEX. Of particular note is the fact that
Vinataba IMEX has imported the first tobacco threshing plant into
Vietnam since the early 90’s.
To
secure a leading role in this area of business,
Vinataba IMEX
has not operated merely as an importer, but also as a consultant to
the industry, which is highly regarded by domestic manufacturers. With
a team of experienced experts in tobacco machinery,
Vinataba IMEX has given active support to other factories in the
selection of equipment, production technology and types of materials.
Knowledge of Vietnam legal and business environment, furthermore, has
helped us to give useful advices concerning legal aspects of import
procedures to the manufacturers.

has built up co-operative relationships with
many leading manufacturers of tobacco machinery in the world such as
Hauni, Comas, G.D, Molins, ITM, Focke. We also have good and
long-lasting relations with other prestigious manufacturers and
suppliers of tobacco materials in the world.
EXPORT AND IMPORT OF TOBACCO
 There
are many regions in Vietnam suitable for tobacco growing, with current
areas under cultivation taking up to 30.000 heactares. With active
support from the Government, Vietnam National Tobacco Corporation
and
Vinataba IMEX have led the way in introducing Vietnamese leaf
to the world market.
Since
the early 90s, we have gradually established ourselves as an export
base for leaf tobacco through co-operative partnership with such
leading tobacco merchant companies as Dimon, Intabex, Universal.
The
quality of our leaf tobacco products is very highly rated by our
customers. In 1999,
Vinataba IMEX began to export pipe
tobacco to Easten European markets.
Vinataba IMEX annually imports approximately 2,000 tons of
quality tobacco from various countries to supply to domestic
factories.
We
believe that there is a great deal of potential and opportunities for
leaf tobacco business in Vietnam, both import and export.
Besides that, we also specialize in other import - export activities
such as:
 Importing consuming goods, industrial
& technological products to domestic market.
